Life vs Internet.

Who needs a life when you could spend your whole existence sheltered in your A.C. powered digital world? It’s a known fact that webcomic artists have a bad problem with tans or the lack thereof, or maybe that’s just me. The internet today provides your every need with a click of a finger.

Forget to eat? No problem. *Click* Pizza at your door.

Need a special someone? *Click* Instant pleasure.

Want to express your creative juices? *Click* There you go, posted art work and Photoshop fun galore.

Only one problem. The internet really can’t give you everything. Though we like to believe it is our answer to all problems it really isn’t, especially for the artist in you that just can’t seem to come up with new ideas. Things the computer doesn' have. Blue skies, fresh air, nature, life, human face-to-face interaction. These things, though easily avoided, seem to open up the mind more and give a sense of awareness. They are in fact very important to functioning as a human being and provide beautiful stimulation. Unfortunately, the internet can become a very powerful overlord in society and no matter how exciting it is, it is equally as addicting and becomes blinding to some people to the point where they are trapped in an unconscious state. The most significant thing in life is just outside their door and they don’t even know it’s there to begin with.

So do me a favor and shut off your computer once in a while and step into the real world. Fill your lungs with some air and open your eyes a bit wider. Life is waiting to be painted on your canvas and you hold the brush.
